After you have researched all the schools in which you have been communicating with, and your daughter is ready to make a decision, she is able to verbally commit to a school and their volleyball program. This commitment can be done in person or over the phone, and is in essence a verbal contract. This process can be very exciting and bring a sense of calm because the recruiting process is essentially over. The stress may come from having to let other school know about her decision so they can move on to their other recruits. A verbal commitment can happen as early as thier freshman year in high school.
After the verbal commitment, you will be allowed to sign your National Letter of Intent on or after the NCAA designated signing date. After signing your Letter of Intent, you are legally bound to that institution. You can sign with a school your senior year.
