Each prospective student-athlete can go on up to 5 official visits. An offer for an official visit indicates that the coach is very interested in your daughter for their program. Most likely there will be an offer of academic and/or athletic scholarship involved during the official visit. The host school will take care of the cost for housing, meals, and entertainment while on the visit. Most schools will host a recruit to an athletic event of some sort, introduce them to department chairs aligned with thier academic interest, and show off their campus/town. The official visit is a great opportunity for your daughter to experience what it is like to be a student-athlete at the school, meet the players on the team, and interact with the coaching staff.
