Patrick Hiltz

  Patrick comes to AZU after 15 years as a volleyball player, coach, and referee at the high school, club, and collegiate levels. His current coaching assignment is at Phoenix College where he assists Head Coach Amanda Burbridge with the PC Bears team.

Patrick started playing volleyball while in high school in Southern California where his high school team was able to win the Southern California state title. After high school, Patrick decided to move to Flagstaff, Arizona to pursue his education at NAU. While in Flagstaff, Patrick served as the Varsity Assistant Coach at Flagstaff High School for four years before taking the head coaching position with the NAU Women’s Club Team leading them to a ninth place finish at Nationals. While in Flagstaff, Patrick also coached for Peaks and High Altitude Volleyball Clubs. 
 
After his time in Flagstaff, Patrick moved to Las Vegas where he earned his Bachelor’s in Physical Education from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Before moving back to Arizona, Patrick coached high school boys and girls in the Las Vegas area for seven years.
