Jon Millar brings 19 years of volleyball coaching and playing experience to AZ United Volleyball Club. Jon started playing volleyball as a freshman at Highland High School in Palmdale, CA.  While at Highland High School, Jon started for the majority of his high school career while achieving several awards like First Team All-League.  Jon and his brother, 3-time Olympic volleyball player, and recent Gold Medal winner, Ryan Millar, played together during his senior year of high school. After high school, Jon went on to coach high school volleyball in Midvale, UT for a frosh-soph team.  At this point, Jon decided to return to volleyball as a player when he played for Ricks College A Team in Rexburg, ID.  After this, he served a 2 year mission for his church in Quito, Ecuador.  Upon returning from his mission, Jon enrolled at Utah Valley State College where he played on the B Team. Jon is currently married to his wife Lisa, and has 3 future volleyball players: Junior (9 yrs old), Jackson (5 yrs old)  and Jonas (8 months old).

Jon has continued to coach at a variety of camps, including Ryan Millar’s Next Level Volleyball Camps. He currently plays in a Sand League and is very excited about passing on his 19 years of volleyball experience. With extensive knowledge of the game, how to become a better player and previous experience coaching, Jon believes that everyone will become a better player under his wings.
