Amanda Burbridge

 Amanda brings a highly decorated coaching and playing career to AZ United. She is currently starting her second year as the Head Volleyball Coach at Phoenix College where in her first year the team went 19-11 and finished second in the Region. Prior to her position at Phoenix College, Amanda was the Head Coach at Desert Mountain High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. In her three years at Desert Mountain, Amanda went 87-43 while leading the program to Back to Back State Titles in 2005 and 2006. Amanda’s skill and competition based approach to training is what makes her a top coach in Arizona.

As an outside hitter for Arizona State University, Amanda started all four years earning various honors and setting three school records. Following her stellar playing career at ASU, she went on to play professionally for Ponce, Puerto Rico. Amanda not only excelled on the court, but in the classroom as well, graduating Cum Laude in 3.5 year from Arizona State University with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology. She later returned to college to attain a Masters in Secondary Education.

  • ASU Volleyball record holder for: Kills in a match (39,38) and Single Season Kills (599)
